Open Options CLP 4.5
The Adobe Open Options (AOO) CLP 4.5 is a two-year licensing membership available for most Adobe desktop products. CLP members set their contract discount level for all of their software orders during the life of the CLP membership based on the value of their initial order. Adobe has designated specific point values for each product and the cumulative total point value determines the Program Member’s discount level.
The Program Member’s initial product order determines the discount level for that order and for any additional orders placed during the life of the CLP 4.5 membership. Although there is no further commitment to purchase beyond that initial order, the Program Member may improve its discount level as it accumulates points through additional license or Upgrade Plan purchases during the contract term.
Discount Levels
CLP 4.5 Program Members earn discounts as their cumulative purchases of qualified desktop products attain the levels listed in the table below.

Membership
The CLP 4.5 membership serves to enroll the signing entity and any of its affiliates. Affiliates can opt for a “linked enrollment” to set up separate account management and yet benefit from, and contribute to, the corporate purchase level discounts.
Electronic Software Delivery
CompuCom provides the main contact named on each enrollment or CLP 4.5 membership with access to a secure Adobe electronic software delivery (ESD) server. These contacts may download any available Adobe desktop software product at any time. However, the Program Member is responsible for ordering a license for any downloaded software within the month that it was downloaded.
Open Options TLP 4.5
Adobe® makes it easy for organizations of all sizes to get the benefits of volume ordering through the Open Options Transactional License Program (TLP) 4.5. This program is available worldwide and covers most Adobe desktop products. There are no membership requirements. Instead, every eligible order of a new or upgrade Adobe software license, or of Upgrade Plan, receives points per the AOO Discount Calculator for your market segment (Commercial, Government, or Education). The discount level earned is based on the total point value of your transaction. The more products you order in a single transaction, the better your discount level.
TLP brings the benefits of enterprise-class licensing to the smaller volume orders typical of consultants, independent designers, creative services, and marketing groups. It also provides the benefits of volume licensing to larger organizations whose orders don’t meet the order thresholds of the CLP agreement.
Discount Levels
Clients earn discounted prices under the TLP 4.5 Volume Licensing Program as the cumulative point total of their single transaction purchases of qualified desktop products attain the levels listed in the table below.

Student Licensing
Only in the U.S. and Canada, institutions of higher education enrolled in the CPL Program may buy certain Adobe education products in volume for distribution to their student population. Although the education products purchased under the student licensing schedule become the property of the student, the total point values accumulated from purchases under the schedule are credited to the educational institution’s CPL 4.5 contract.
Discount levels
There is one price per eligible education product, regardless of the educational institution program member’s discount level or the number of student licenses purchased. Upgrade Plan is not available for purchase under the CLP 4.5 Student Licensing schedule. Ownership of a license purchased under the CLP 4.5 Student Licensing schedule may not be transferred once a student has taken ownership of it.
Available software
The following products are available for Student Licensing. Orders under the Student Licensing schedule must meet the minimum quantities listed.

High-Volume Discount
By ordering certain products (including upgrades and/or Upgrade Plan for these products) at certain unit quantities in a single transaction, program members can earn even greater discounts. In the U.S. and Canada, the High-Volume Discount is available to commercial, government, and education program members and enrolled affiliates. There is no separate enrollment required. Participation in this CLP 4.5 option is accomplished through the use of a special SKU, and greater discount levels are offered for high-volume orders for certain products within an existing CLP 4.5 membership.
High-Volume Discount orders provide the same points as do the license, upgrade license, or Upgrade Plan, depending on what is purchased. The following table lists the discount levels and units required per market segment.

Upgrade Plan
The Adobe Upgrade Plan guarantees program members access to future version releases – upgrades – as well as bug fixes and updates of purchased software covered under the plan for the duration of the Upgrade Plan term. Program members receive points for the value of the Upgrade Plan purchase towards the advancement of their CPL or TPL discount level.
Summary
- Upgrade Plan can be purchased for all, some, or none of the purchased licenses.
- Upgrade Plan coverage extends through the life of the CLP 4.5 membership or can be purchased in one- or two-year terms under the TPL 4.5 program.
- Program members may pay the Upgrade Plan license fee in two annual payments or in a single up-front payment.
- Upgrade Plan coverage and payment starts on the first day of the month following the month during which it is ordered. Orders placed on the first day of the month start that day.
- Program members ordering Upgrade Plan for a product in the same month that an upgrade to that product is announced, but before the announcement date, should contact CompuCom Customer Service to request an upgrade at no additional charge.
- If Adobe discontinues a product for which a program member has ordered Upgrade Plan, the Upgrade Plan cost is not refunded.
For program members that do not hold a valid Upgrade Plan at the time an upgrade is announced, including those whose maintenance memberships or Upgrade Plans have expired, this policy applies:
- If the program member’s license is at the current shipping version, the program member may purchase the appropriate upgrade license, if available.
- The program member may purchase the full product license, if an upgrade license is not available.
Legacy products
Program members may order Upgrade Plan for any previously owned (legacy) Adobe products only within the first six months of their CLP 4.5 membership, and only if the products are at the current version. After the first six months, program members may only order the Upgrade Plan for new and upgrade licenses, but are not required to do so.
Upgrade Plan renewals
Adobe will notify the program member via e-mail 90 days before an Upgrade Plan is due to expire. Program members must renew by their Upgrade Plan anniversary date or coverage will lapse. Early renewal does not change a program member’s anniversary date. Upgrade Plan ends on the last day of program nembership.
