Microsoft SA - Home Use Program

Under the Home Use Program, employees who are a user of a licensed copy of a qualifying desktop application (such as Microsoft Office Professional, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Visio Professional) with Software Assurance coverage may acquire a single license for the corresponding Home Use Program software for installation and use on a home computer. This benefit enables employers to offer employees flexible workspace options that can boost their productivity and enhance their overall work satisfaction.

Recent News - Home Use Program Goes Digital

The Home Use Program (HUP) allows users with Software Assurance (SA) on their Office license to purchase a copy of Office 2007 Enterprise (or related Office Applications) to install on their home PC. As of June 1st, 2009, the HUP has changed the end user fulfillment process. The benefit now offers an online purchase and digital distribution method of ordering. Eligible customers will visit https://hup.microsoft.com and download Office for $9.95 (US). A backup DVD is also available for an additional $12. Please note that digital distribution is only available for individual orders.

HUP - Additional Information

The Home Use Program (HUP) allows your employees to purchase 1 copy of Office or related Desktop applications (FrontPage, OneNote, Project, Publisher, Visio, Office for Mac) to install on their home PC.
Upon activation of the HUP benefit through the MVLS site (https://licensing.microsoft.com), your benefits administrator will receive a program code which employees must have to access the HUP site (https://hup.microsoft.com).
Please note that employers are not held responsible for monitoring the use of this benefit. The end user enters into an electronic agreement upon installation of the Home Use media, which states that the user agrees to discontinue use of the software if they are no longer with your company.
