CA ERwin Data Modeler - a data modeling product that enables you to visualize complex data structures, inventory information assets and establish enterprise-wide standards for managing data. It streamlines the design process and synchronizes the model with the database design. You can use its powerful data modeling capabilities to design transactional systems, data marts and data warehouses.
CA ERwin Process Modeler - a powerful modeling tool that can help you visualize, analyze and improve complex business processes. A process model enables you to clearly document important aspects of any business process, such as which activities are needed, how they are performed and controlled, what resources are required, and what outcomes or outputs are produced.
CA ERwin Model Manager - a scalable, multi-user modeling environment that provides innovative and easy-to-use services that help modelers work together more efficiently. It fosters communication in a controlled environment—increasing quality and productivity.
CA ERwin Model Navigator - a complementary product to both CA ERwin Data Modeler and CA ERwin Process Modeler that provides non-modelers access to model information for presentation, analysis and application development functions. For undocumented legacy systems, CA ERwin Data Profiler can infer primary and foreign keys based on data patterns, allowing you to choose the best fit based on your data, and export these newlydiscovered structures into CA ERwin Data Modeler.
Reporting
New reporting capability using Business Objects’ Crystal Reports and ODBC access to CA ERwin DM metadata combines best-of-breed reporting with best-of-breed modeling and information management—a strong combination. With these tools, information assets stored in CA ERwin DM can be published to many stakeholders and projects within your organization. It compares one item with the other, displays the differences and permits you to select which differences are moved and in which direction. If model changes are moved to a database, CA ERwin DM can automatically generate a database ALTER script, if you so desire.
